Today's Everyday Fashion: Leggings
I've never really worn leggings. I will happily wear skinny bottoms, but I prefer a thick structured denim or cotton and not as much stretch in my pants. This fall it feels like opposite day though, because leggings have never seemed more appealing to me. Which leads me to wonder: how can you wear them without looking like a preteen? And what is appropriate? I come from the camp that leggings aren't pants so I wouldn't show my bum completely, but your top also doesn't need to be quite as long as a dress. (I think ideally this top should be 1-3 inches longer for this look). As for feeling grown-up, a silk button down tunic fits the bill, like the one I'm showing today and more examples below. You could even order tops like the Ann Taylor version below in "Tall" to achieve more of a tunic look. Tell me - do you wear leggings? What are you best tips for keeping them appropriate and grown-up?
