Today's Everyday Fashion: The Perfect Dress
The lavender color, large print floral and short sleeves on this dress were too pretty to pass up. (It was part of the same online order for yesterday's blush pink dress.) I needed this size to fit my hips, but then there was a ton of excess fabric around my stomach and lower back. My tailor added several darts to the front and back, just under the seam. (This dress also has pockets, which are still just as useable, thankfully.) I haven't worn it yet, but plan to for a speaking engagement or another daytime event. Nude pumps or sandals could also dress it down for a shower. I'm always a little nervous when I get something altered, but I'm so happy with how it turned out. Sometimes putting in a little extra effort means you wind up with your perfect dress!
