Today's Everyday Fashion: Holiday Weekend
An idea for a swim cover up that I've been wanting to try all summer finally happened and I loved it. Mostly because, the beach finally happened. (We live in Florida but we NEVER go... we stick to the rivers and the lakes that we're used to. Which is a song lyric, but also the truth because we tend to go boating on lakes, or swim in the pool but that's it.) It also turns out that I've been complicating swim coverups my entire life and an old button front shirt was all I needed this whole time. I wore it loose without the shorts, I buttoned it up during dinner, and wore tied like this in-between. As we took pictures the sun set into the most delicious pink sky, and the waves crashing soothed every care in the world. Lesson for this holiday weekend: life is short, get yourself to the beach. And any old button front as a cover up will do!
