Today's Everyday Fashion: Even If Nobody Likes It
I don't expect everyone to love this new top as much as I do. Based on similar outfits lately (see below); they have not been super popular. But I hope that you take this one thing from my blog if nothing else - that even with all the opinions out there (everyone has one!), comments online, looks from strangers - if it makes your heart happy you've got to do. Be brave. Have courage to wear the thing. Differing style opinions are not bad. I LOVE when people have another POV and don't like something I do or vice versa! But we often confuse having a differing opinion with forcing that opinion on someone else. Your style opinion is NEVER more correct than someone else's for one very simple reason - it's their body and their decision, not yours. If you're presenting an opinion (and you absolutely should present yours) then it shouldn't come from a place of control. As women we really have to develop tough boundaries about our appearance. Which can feel awful and selfish, especially if you're a people-pleaser like me. But your style is not for anybody else, it's for you. No other humans can matter in that decision (assuming it's not hurting anyone). You gotta do you boo. Even if nobody likes it.
And if you dig this style... check out all the under-$10 hacks below to get the same look! Plus 4 more ways to wear it. xoxo
