Today's Everyday Fashion: Culottes

This outfit was created purely because of fit. I wanted another way to wear this striped crop top and these are the only black bottoms in my closet that are high-waisted enough to go with the top. I love culottes on other people (like Jessica Alba, who looks great here), but they can be hard to style. I do like that they feel like pajamas and it's fun to have something in a totally different shape than most of my slim-fitting pants and jeans! Would you wear culottes?

These beautiful pink Tabebuia trees are in blossom all over our neighborhood right now. I'm completely obsessed and want to plant 20 of them in our yard. There's only one problem though: the blooms only appear for a few days and then they are gone. I had a moment of random inspiration and decided to write it down and share. Something to ponder as we head into spring:
