Today's Everyday Fashion: The Sock Bun
/Let's take a brief intermission to talk about sock buns. I was feeling too lazy to curl my hair yesterday so I Googled "sock bun tutorial" and watched a couple videos. It looked easy enough, so I cut the toe off a sock and went to town. Unfortunately my hair is way too thick though (even with the smallest sock I could find), and my bun was wider than my head. Every bobby pin I own later, and it came out as pictured - and barely hanging by a thread. Anyone have tips for how to master the sock bun for thick hair?!
As for today's outfits - I was brainstorming for a holiday segment on Daytime. (The segment will air nationally Monday morning on DISH if you want to DVR it!) I like the top outfit best so I'll be using that one in the segment, and that tulle skirt I loved so much...? Not very flattering on my body now that I see it in photos, so I'm going to return it. (I ordered it online.) If you're ever unsure how a new shape fits I recommend doing the same - snap a photo and see how it looks! Which outfit do you like better?
