Today's Everyday Fashion: Military Pairings

I love pairing a military jacket with anything girlie: such as lace tops, a flirty dress, floral prints, sequins, polka dots or in today's look - ruffles and brocade. J.Crew's version with the striped top is adorable. All of my striped tops are white and navy/black, but I wish I had a beige/olive one so I added it to my shopping list. How do you or would you wear a military jacket? Do you prefer the ruffles or stripes?
