Today's Everyday Fashion: Fair Isle

If I lived in a colder climate, I would wear Fair Isle sweaters all. the. time. I contemplated buying the one in my inspiration photo, and the first one below. Practicality won out in both cases, but that didn't stop me from trying to re-create a Fair Isle outfit anyway. I used a bib necklace to mimic the patterned neckline over a mustard sweater and paired it with turquoise cropped pants. I prefer the original, but I'm always happy to find a new outfit that's already in my closet - and I can't say I would've thought to pair this together otherwise. Fair Isle sweaters: yea or nay?

Approx. dates: Shoes, coat and necklace are 3 years ago. Clutch, pants and sweater are last year.
