Today's Everyday Fashion: The Poncho

I wore this outfit in NYC for a casual sightseeing day. Our first stop was MoMa to see Van Gogh's The Starry Night in person (I was so excited - see my pic on Instagram) as well as a wide range of popular works by Dali, Picasso and Warhol (to name a few). The rest of the day included shopping, a stop at Rockefeller to see the tree, and a walk through Times Square. My Sperrys got pretty dirty but they were really comfortable for walking all day, and the grey athletic socks I added for extra warmth were just the ticket. This jacket is somewhat lightweight, but layering the two sweaters kept me plenty warm, especially with the big cowl neck on the poncho. I've always loved poncho sweaters like these and have a few from years past, so I felt like this one would make a great addition to my closet.
