Today's Everyday Fashion: Ombre
/I'm so excited to debut my new ombre hair today! (It also made an appearance in our Instagram Christmas photos here.) I tried going ombre a couple weeks ago, but the ombre wasn't very obvious and it just looked blonde from the front (see left photo below). So I went back to my hairdresser and like the miracle worker that she is, she changed it! (If you're in Orlando, here's her contact info - she's fantastic!) I'm always weary about dark dye in my hair and wanted to keep as much of my natural hair as possible so she basically painted a stripe around the middle (and all the way up the streaks in front) with a glaze to darken it. After a couple years with dye-free hair, I was feeling bored and wanted some highlights, but my idea with ombre is that it's fun but doesn't have any root upkeep to save time and money. Excited to see how it looks as it grows out!
As for today's outfit? I have a black leather jacket but no green shirt that was quite the right shade of olive, so I switched it around! I put a black t-shirt underneath and an olive green jacket over it for a similar effect with a leopard skirt I've had for ages.
