Today's Everyday Fashion: Black Leather
/I copy celebrity looks for several reasons: 1. I have no idea what to wear that day, 2. I am a rebel who likes to prove you can look just as good on a much smaller budget, 3. I'm skeptical that celebrity outfits work in real life. Today, it's mostly #3. I wanted to know: can you really get away with wearing a fur vest over a leather jacket? I gave it my best shot... I'll let you guys cast votes on whether you think it works or not!
While we're on the subject of black leather, let's talk about the leather sheath dresses below. I was invited (as press) to NBC's Know Your Value event in Orlando this Friday, Nov. 20. It's a super empowering/inspirational event with speakers like Rachael Ray, Martha Stewart, Laura Brown, and other completely amazing women. (Anyone can buy tickets --> here.) I of course immediately panicked and felt like I had nothing to wear. I love my spring/summer wardrobe but when it comes to fall/winter for a "business casual" event, not so much. I live in jeans this time of year. So that's where the idea of a leather sheath comes in. With sleeves and a loose fit it's professional, but the leather keeps it edgy and fun. I'm on the hunt for one to possibly wear on Friday and these are my top picks!
