Brave Enough to Wear It

The truth is, I’m more likely to experiment with style and be brave enough to wear an outfit here on the blog, than I am in real life. Maybe you’ve heard people advise “who cares what other people think of your outfit” but is that the full story? You know I’m all for “YOU DO YOU” and the audacity to enjoy yourself, however, I also like to consider whether I’ll be upstaging the guest-of-honor, drawing way more attention to myself than I’d like, or in any way making the occasion about me/what I am wearing. There are many ways I think it makes sense to care! And while today’s outfit may be subdued in color scheme, the tulle details on the shirt are definitely an attention-getter. Given the right occasion, I’d rock this outfit all day long! But I might need to make some adjustments for it to work as an outfit I’d regularly repeat. What changes would you make to this outfit?
