Today's Everyday Fashion: The Brooch Debate

This outfit seems super Kate Middleton to me, however, I’m breaking major protocol. First, by calling her that, but also according to royal guidelines you are only allowed to wear brooches on your left shoulder. This is recent news to me as I’ve always chosen the right shoulder for practical reasons! The right shoulder is opposite my bangs and where my hair hangs down - a brooch on the left would most likely get tangled up or be concealed by my hair. Is this a rule you’ve heard of or follow?

The intention of this advertisement was probably more along the lines of getting me to buy a plaid blazer. However, it just reminded me that I already have one at home I should wear again! 😉
