Today's Everyday Fashion: Yellow in Winter

Yellow is really quite clever in the winter, isn't it? According to colorpsychology.org, yellow is the brightest color of the visible spectrum, and it "means happiness and optimism; it is the color of sun shining, or bright light and creativity." To me, yellow has always felt like it perks your mood right up, and who wouldn't want to bring a little bit of sunshine to winter?! I recently styled this yellow coat with a black turtleneck and floral pencil skirt, but my inspiration has the right idea pairing it with comfy sneakers and jeans. I will certainly be using this recreation of her outfit the next time the weather calls for it.
