Styling Challenge

I was recently asked to do a little styling project and wanted to share the results with you guys! The challenge: style 5 different statement necklaces into two looks - one for work (left), and one for weekend (right). This second necklace is actually three of the same necklace braided together and has a navy colored ribbon in it. How do you think I did on day #2?

Disclaimer: These are my regular 'ole clothes, but I do not own the necklace.

I've been noticing myself wearing a lot of red lately - a color I used to reallly shy away from. Are there any colors you've tried out lately and liked? Or are planning to try this fall?

Although it's still warm in Florida, I'm craving fall clothes so I'll be mixing in some of my favorite fall pieces here and there. I'm most excited to wear my leather coat that I bought last spring (pictured) - what article of clothing are you most looking forward to wearing this fall/winter?

I had a fantastic time getting to know some more bloggers in the Orlando area. They kind of lost me a couple times when they were talking about food blogging, but were totally game to answer all my questions and had tons of helpful suggestions for a new blogger like me! I have really been struggling lately with not letting negative comments get to me, and this dinner was helpful in remembering why I blog and to keep doing what I love no matter what some (haters) might say. Thanks ladies, you were a big help and inspiration!!

Day #5 of our cruise was a stop in Roatan. We started the day with monkeys on our shoulders during a trip to a local "zoo"....

.... and spent the rest of the day at the Mayan Princess Resort. We were snorkeling for at least 2 hours right off the beach, it was AH-mazing, by far our favorite experience on this trip!!

I absolutely love wearing big necklaces with swim suits (despite some trip goers making fun of me). Thanks again to Lori McMinn, Stella & Dot Stylist, again for this turquoise necklace, I absolutely love it!

Swim suit: H&M, $10
Sunglasses: H&M, $6

On the way back to the boat we stopped to take some goofy pictures...

Day #3 of our cruise was spent in Grand Cayman. We did a half-day excursion with Captain Marvin's  which included holding and feeding stingrays, and tons of snorkeling (I HIGHLY recommend them). I wore one of my favorite swimsuits (a tribal number I bought for another cruise), a cover-up from Forever 21 that I've also worn as a shirt and of course, my snorkel gear. ;-)

What should I wear with this skirt?

I was playing around last weekend with some ideas of what to wear with my new skirt from Urban Outfitters (scored online for $24!). The shirt in the left photo is a little to precious, and the outfit on the right is a little too rock-n-roll. So, tell me...

- Which outfit do you like better?
- What would you wear with this skirt?
