Today's Everyday Fashion: The Ballet
/I wore this to see The Nutcracker on Saturday night. I grew up watching every year, it's one of my favorite Christmas traditions. I ordered this dress as part of the Retail Me Not challenge (here), but loved it so much I decided to keep it. This is the kind of dress that I will wear for many years to come, to many occasions such as a wedding, work holiday party or even New Year's Eve. For colder weather, I would add black tights and a black peacoat. I've had the black wrap I'm holding for years and it's my secret weapon for formal dresses in the cold. It's a sweater material - the equivalent of a thick black cardigan - but the shape works better aesthetically with a fancy dress. What are your strategies for staying warm in a formal dress? Would you wear a black and gold sequin print like the options below?
